Charles Arnold Lawn

1899 – 1991

Lawn retired as Chief Surveyor, Auckland, New Zealand in 1963 after a distinguished career in the Lands and Survey Department. Concerned that the early pioneers had passed and that those who had known and worked with them were also passing, Mr. Lawn spent many years in painstaking research of records and in compiling recollections about pioneer surveyors in New Zealand and their work.
