W. Neville Holmes
19 August 1933
Born at Korumburra, Victoria, Australia, grew up on a dairy farm, and spent two years at boarding school before graduating from Melbourne University in electrical engineering. In his professional life he spent two years as a patent examiner in Melbourne, thirty years as a systems engineer with IBM in various cities and countries, and twenty years as a lecturer in Tasmania. He now lives, more or less retired, in Ballarat (Victoria, not California). This is his only published book, but many of his essays are archived here.
