David Earl Arnold
August 5, 1927 – February 18, 1968
Born in Detroit, Michigan 8-5-27. One sister, Audrey P. (Arnold) Hamilton. He wrote poetry at an early age, and all his writings were destroyed in a fire in his son's house. Married to Muriel Jilbert, who died at age 37. One son, Dana Scott Arnold. David worked as a forest ranger in Michigan's upper pennisula. David and his 2nd wife were both killed in a car accident on 2-18-68, during the beginning promotion of his book. He was only 40. His heartbroken mother wore black for an entire year afterward. This information is attested to by his sister.
