Umberto Neri

Born in Rimini, Italy on 09/07/1939. After passage of the front in World war II, he moved with his mother & a brother to Rome Italy where he remained til 1946 after his father returned as a P.O.W. of the British in India. In 1946 the family moved to Milan where Umberto attended excelklent public schools. In 1953 the family had moved back to Rome Before his last year of the classical gymnasium,Neri came to Minneapolis, U.S.A., as a High School Exchange student. Before graduation he was admitted to the college of the university of Chicago with a tuition scholarship and a campus part-time job. He
