About
"The volume contains two chronological lists: first of creations in the peerages of England and Great Britain from the accession of Charles II in 1649 to the union with Ireland in 1800 and secondly of creations in the peerages of Ireland from the accession of James I in 1603 to the last such creation in 1898. Each entry specifies the date of creation, the names of the grantee and both the principal and any subordinate titles conferred. Where a peerage was granted with a special limitation in remainder details are provided. Finally included are the sources from which the information is derived, together with an indication of where the texts of the patents of creation are to be found."--BOOK JACKET.
