Sliver

These poems came on the heels of a fundamental letting go that involved a mandatory shift in the way I approached my daily life. I slowed my momentum to a stop. While this stop opened up and gifted new perspectives, a way of moving with depth rather than speed, it was disorienting to almost all my sense of meaning and identity. My situation demanded that i prune my way of operating in the works to only what felt true to me, which at first seemed like a good old house cleaning, throwing out old beliefs, and discarding limited ways of functioning. As the process continued to unfold, and my sense of self was pared down to so excruciatingly and blissfully little, I felt i could be thread through the eye of a small needle. It is within the essence of this place that Sliver and Your Life is a Masterpiece were born.
