"For the first time Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza will host a photo exhibition - Vogue Like a painting (30 June - 12 October 2015) - a display of fashion imagery inspired by a pictorial reminiscence from the Vogue archives, shot by some of the greatest fashion photographers over the last three decades. Each of the photographs in this exhibition has been chosen because it employs the attributes traditionally aligned with and lending a unique value to painting. Spanning almost a century, the show is loosely threaded rather than adhering to strict criteria, relying on moods and half-remembered things. Some of the images employ sculptural relief, others a painterly handling of light. Many bring to mind specific paintings and artists.
