Breathe Child Breathe

Mary White's "Breathe Child, Breathe" is a fascinating story of tragedy and triumph. In researching and telling the story of her family and ancestors, Mary offers the reader incredible insight into what life was like growing up as a Black woman in the Deep South before the Civil Rights movement. If the book was just that, it would be a most interesting read, but Mary goes on to share with readers her own pains and struggles, her search for meaning and truth, and ultimately, her close walk with God which has sustained her from the very day she was born.
