This data collection was produced by sampling 60,000 housing units selected from the 1970 Census of Population and Housing and adding new addresses collected from building permits. This file includes data on the following items: the year the structure was built, the tenure of the occupants, the number of persons in the household, the age, race, sex, marital status, income, and household relationship of the occupants, and Spanish origin of the householder. Information is also given on household living facilities, property values, utilities, and contract and gross rent.
