A global consultant and writer, Shell conceived of the book during a seven-hour layover in Heathrow Airport where she found that she had read most of the 'Chick Lit' and romantic fiction available in the airport bookstore.

"I was craving something wickedly honest, fun and easy to read," says Shell. "So I picked up my laptop and started writing for myself."

Over the next seven years, most of it while working as a Branding & Product Manager at Wix.com, she continued writing and emailing her short stories to girlfriends around the world.

"It was a creative way to explore the emotional topics that perplexed me and my girlfriends and compile them into a candid work of fiction. And although my girlfriends and I live in different countries and cities around the world, the characters, themes and dialogue are universal to the modern woman,” Shell explains.

Organized around topics of love, engagement, weddings, sex and other scribbles about women, The Wedding Virus & Other Snippets is a fictional work that offers an insightful look into the things we all think but don't say.
