Excerpt: Annie Cresta is victor of the 70th Hunger Games, and is from District 4. She is the wife of Finnick Odair. During the 70th Hunger Games, Annie witnessed her fellow District 4 male tribute's beheading, which drove her to virtual insanity. She has certain problems which she would close her eyes and cover her ears, and laugh when it was unnecessary. She hid for the rest of the Games, until an earthquake broke a dam and flooded the entire arena. Having grown up in District 4, Annie survived by being the best swimmer. Since then, she has been perceived as being mentally unstable. Annie was reaped a second time to participate in the 75th Hunger Games, but Mags, an older tribute, who helped Finnick mentor Annie during her Hunger Games, volunteered to enter the Games in her place. Annie is the love of Finnick Odair who is the victor of the 65th Hunger Games. In Mockingjay, Annie is kidnapped by the Capitol to be tortured, to control her love, Finnick, and learn of the rebels. Annie knew nothing about the rebels. A group of rebels broke into the Capitol and got her out to District 13, where she and Finnick became married publicly District 4 style.
