Running smack into one man while trying to get to another wasn’t part of the plan. I never meant to plow into him. I was upset, running from a pain that only followed. The fact that he needed me was not only a blessing, but an omen as well. I could get far, far away from the agony and never look back. I could get to the one man who I wanted to suffer. He would never see me coming. It was the perfect unplanned, plan. I was the blinded one, oblivious to what was impending. Propositions and untied shoes, lies and runny noses, betrayal and pretend; all things I never saw coming. Unconditional love was forced down my throat, compelling me to do things I had to do.
