Compilation of Tibetan literature, largely biographical and historical writings such as religious histories, abbatial successions, genealogies, and related genres, etc. Though some of these texts have appeared elsewhere, this collection provides a variety of writings that were either presumed lost or hitherto unknown to exist. Majority of the texts included consist of manuscripts written in various cursive scripts and some in print, as well as some woodblock prints. The reproduction of these as facsimile editions is a chief contribution to Tibetan studies.
