On April 26, 2014, twenty-seven-year-old Clint Seymour was walking to his car with friends, enjoying the balmy spring night in Charleston, South Carolina, when suddenly, senselessly he was hit by what police termed a "sucker punch," a running blow to the back of his head that he never saw coming, from an assailant he didn't know and had done nothing to provoke. As quickly as the ambush erupted, so it ceased with his assailant disappearing into the night, leaving Clint lifeless on the sidewalk.
