This is my story. I'm not a counselor, psychologist, or therapist. I'm a musician who was married to an abuser. Not an abuser who hit with fists, but one who hit with words, attitude, silence, and indifference. It is a story about verbal, emotional, and spiritual abuse. At first, life seemed fairly normal. By the end, I could hardly function. I wondered how I, an educated woman, could allow this to happen. My story begins like many happy marriages, but quickly deteriorates. It ends in divorce, where I'm left shattered and disjointed. What happened? Walk with me through my process of self discovery.
