About
Within the imposing halls of historic "Carabrae" near Inverness, Australian Kate Fielding finds herself inadvertently caught in an unusual love triangle. Kate keeps her pregnancy a secret, and ultimately, two lives are pitched together in a push and pull search for love, trust and family values. Dark and dominating, traditional Scot Galen MacBain is intrigued by this outspoken young woman who stirs both his demons and his passions. Galen nurses a secret of his own, a problem which he perceives will be solved by marriage to Kate. But Kate cannot accept his generosity. Though she would be providing her baby with a father and the trappings of wealth, she would be marrying Galen for all the wrong reasons. Can this modern and determined young woman resist the temptation to accept Galen's proposal of marriage?
