Compilado por Diego Pizarro, entre 1655 y 1656, contiene más de doscientas obras compuestas mayoritariamente para cuatro voces. En este repertorio figuran romances y romancillos líricos, villancicos, canciones, bailes y diversas letras para cantar agrupadas todas bajo el término “tono humano” género lírico receptor de la sensibilidad poético-musical barroca y de su estética de contrastes.
