Japanese Linked Poetry

Linking the court poetry of the classical period and the haiku poetry of the modern period, the renga and haikai which constitute Japanese linked poetry are important in Japanese literature. The first half of this book presents linked poetry's principles and its placement in the history of Japanese literature as well as the context of world literature.
