The Jewish community of Aleppo, Syria, the biblical Aram Soba, is one of the worlds most ancient. The community serves as guardian of the famous Keter Torah scroll, and boasts of a synagogue dating back to the Second Temple Period. This three-story collection interlaces the fictionalized history of Sabatos Aleppo family with social and political turmoil spanning more than a century, from Syria to France and Israel.
