And Then There Was Provence

Seeking respite from the rigors of a Northern Michigan winter, Jo Anne Wilson spends time on an old restored lavender farm in the heart of Provence, Southern France. Little does she know that this vacation will open the door to an opportunity to return for a year as guardian of these same vacation cottages. That year morphs into a ten-year experience of living with one foot on two different continents as she bounces back and forth between Northern Michigan and Southern France. She makes friends and immerses herself in the relaxed life of Provence, but with a biological family and friends still in Michigan, she struggles with finances, emotional and health challenges, and tries to answer the question, "Where is home?"
