Then she met Enid Cassel, a fiftyish widow in San Francisco to pick up her niece's children. Enid's appearance seemed a gift from God; the older woman needed someone to care for the children. So Dee found herself on the way to Fern Canyon as the companion to two young girls … not realizing that she was inviting herself to her own death!
