Pieces of a Girl

Dramatic novel, winner of the 1998 Jim Hamilton Award. Deals with dysfunctional family relationships, obsession and inhibition. Ivy's childhood is coloured by the strange moods and longings of her mother. Memories of her childhood intertwine with her married life, and determine the course of her relationship with Victor, a mysterious father-figure who enters her life when she is a child, and whom she searches out twenty years later.
