The Golden Moon of Alantriock

Kristen Apt has been running from the same dream for nearly a year. She's never been caught, but feels she's never escaped either. Elsidi Llodan has been chasing the same dream for exactly as long, and he's fallen in love with the one he pursues, a woman with the silver eyes of a mirror. The dream is only the opening scene of an adventure that Kristen doesn't want, but participates in unwillingly. She's been promised control over her strange abilities, something she's craved since they'd come upon her. She doubts the promise will be kept, especially by Elsidi. An impersonal enemy asserts his power and becomes something very personal to Kristen. Guided by prophecy written by a man from her own era, and armed with nothing more than her erratic talents and the sheer stubbornness that's saved her life in the past, she and her new friends accept the responsibility of being the first to confront the twisted Staff Weilder. Kristen struggles with more power than she'd ever wanted, and Elsidi, who offers something she believes she'll never have, or even deserves. She won't love. She doesn't know if she'll even survive her own inner talents.
