by Eldson J. McGhee

About
According to the "***Soldiers in Prison***" documentary, "*Until recently one in every five US. prisoners was a Vietnam veteran.*" *Short Changed: Memoir of an American Combat Veteran* chronicles the life of Eldson J. McGhee, a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient who suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The book tells the story of a soldier who experiences physical and emotional trauma while serving, and after his tour in Vietnam. As an high school honor student, McGhee had plans to become a lawyer, live a prosperous life, and make his family proud. No one would have guessed the direction his life would take.
