The other portion is composed of newspaper clippings on the steamer disasters of the Pomerania (1878) and the Ville du Havre (1873). Only ill. is laid in. The latter portion's clippings are attached to the pages by pins. The base paper of some of the scrapbook is manuscript; other pages are of letterpress forms from the Mechanics and Traders' Fire Insurance Company, No. 492 Grand Street, New York.
