Dr. Davis teaches a course she calls, "First Century Methods of Searching the Scriptures:Recovering Ancient Methods of Bible Study," and she has applied these ancient methods toher work on the Book of Genesis. This is an intermediate course that assumes that you arealready familiar with these methods and that you know the Genesis narrative. You may ormay not have studied some of the interpretations of others, such as Christian theology or thework of the Jewish sages. However, this course not only takes you deeper in your understanding but also teaches you how you can learn how to penetrate a depth of meaning.
