About
This book is the result of forty years of research by members of the family of the author, Naomi Vivian Ridge, including visits to Cornwall, England, and Kentucky where we met Vivians, Vivions, and Vyvyans, all from a common ancestor. Written in narrative style, the story focuses on John Vivion in Virginia in the mid 1600s, follows his line to Kentucky after the Revolutionary War, and then develops many of his descendants to the present time. Other related lines such as Thacker, Gholson, Potts, Bush, Fox, and Sharp are included. Vivians in the United States from later immigrations are also discussed.
