"On the Publication of the Photographic Edition of Sosang Palgyeong Sicheop: The Cultural Heritage Administration has been engaged in the project of distributing exquisitely photocopied editions of rare books every year in an effort to make it easy to use such books as research materials. This year we are publishing a photographic edition of Sosang Palgyeong Sicheop (Collection of Poems concerning Eight Leading Scenic Sights of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers in China), Treasure No.1405, which is kept at the National Museum of Korea. The collection was compiled at the instruction of Prince Anpyeong (penname: Bihaedang), King Sejong's third son, and contained the works of well-known poets of that time. Encompassing the eight leading scenic sights of Sosang, which refers to the confluence point of the Xiao River and the Xiang River in China, the collection was put together in 1442, during King Sejong's reign, when the nation's literature and arts were at its prime. Originally made in the form of a scroll, it now remains in the form of a book. [...]"
