When Jeroen Vogel is invited to join his pub buddy Krijn on a motorcycle adventure through Vietnam, he hops on a boat in Phnom Penh and makes his way to Ho Chi Minh City, where the pair buys two Honda Win motorbikes and set off for an eventful, 3.5 week journey to the capital Hanoi. Being untrained and ill-prepared, they find themselves bribing the police, being ripped off and befriending two Italian backpackers and their beautiful but ultra-economical Russian passenger. After the Italians ditch the Russian girl and decide to continue the journey with the four of them, it becomes clear that being pub buddies is a hell of a lot easier than being travel mates.
