Pearson correlations and multiple regressions were conducted for each hypothesis. As predicted, it was found that women with a more positive body image (as measured by body areas satisfaction and appearance evaluation) also were more satisfied with their lives and had more physical attractiveness self-efficacy. However, women's investment in their physical appearance (a third measure of body image) did not appear to be related to either their level of life satisfaction or physical attractiveness self-efficacy.
