Feathers in the Blood

Is it possible for a 100 year old curse to be given with such anger and evil that it would cause a mountain top God-fearing family to be sent to their demise one by one until there was only one man left? The one who had buried his kin with sadness and disbelief? Is the curse now living in his cabin with him and his newly adopted family? Was it invited in and welcomed with open arms or had the evil plotted and planned its way to Raven Hill through the eye of the bird? Who would be the next sleeping in the cemetery? Or would personal greed and impatience prove to be evil's weakness and death. And if the curse dies, will it later resurface in the face of an angel?
