About
A few years ago my book "Branches" was composed of writings that encompassed writings up to that time. Many of them had a "Yankee" flavor because New York State is where I lived for the first 30+ years of my life. After moving to Florida, my viewpoint changed and I became interested in nature - especially the outdoors - like fishing, and traipsing the fields and woods studying native vegetation, and finally leading nature walks for Sarasota County and The Native Plant Society.. As I aged, my viewpoint changed and my writing reflected more of a pessimistic outlook. - not about nature, but about my fellow man.I'm older now - sort of an "old fossil"- and you may discern that by my viewpoints since all of the writings in "Falling Leaves" date from 2009.Whether or not you agree with any of my thoughts or outlook doesn't matter at all in the "great scheme of things". I only hope you enjoy some of them and they make you think and remember.I thank the friends who keep pushing me along and keep life interesting. A very special thanks to my buddy, Al Squires, who prods, needles, aggravates, and helps me survive day after day. I never had a brother, but Al has become one, now that I need a brother the most.
