Confessions of a Rush Baby

"Confessions of a Rush Baby" begins as an olive branch to the American Left, offered by an ultra-conservative Ditto-Head seeking to reach across the political divide of partisan bickering and trenchant rhetoric. Each of the twelve chapters, which cover topics ranging from global warming to immigration reform, opens with a confession of agreement between the author, Chris Klody, a hard-right neo-con, and the lunatic, liberal fringe. The conciliatory tone of the opening confession is then immediately shattered by sardonic rebuke, as Mr. Klody, employ historical evidence, conservative principles, and satiric wit to expose the folly of liberalism and its pernicious effects on American exceptionalism. It is a book the Right will love, the Left will love to hate, and the floundering moderates can set next to their unread copies of Al Franken's, "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot," to affirm their open-mindedness.
