"Bruno Nobile de Vistarini (1891-1971) en Wijnand Lemei (1892-1945) werkten in Nederlands-Indië, aanvankelijk allebei voor de Landsgebouwendienst. Bruno Nobile de Vistarini, geboren in Leitersberg (het huidige Kosaki in Slovenië), studeerde aan de TU van Graz. In Surabaya ontwierp hij de fraaie Christelijke Muloschool (1928). In mei 1940 werd hij geïnterneerd. Na de oorlog leidde hij de wederopbouw van Knittelfeld in Oostenrijk. Wijnand Lemei studeerde aan de TH in Delft. Bijna onmiddellijk na zijn aankomst in Nederlands-Indië realiseerde hij het Centrale Burgerlijke Ziekenhuis in Semarang. In 1941 werd hij benoemd tot hoogleraar aan de Technische Hogeschool van Bandung. In 1945 stierf hij aan uitputting in het 'jappenkamp' Ambawara. De levens van Bruno Nobile de Vistarini en Wijnand Lemei hebben elkaar gekruist. Zo ontwierpen zij samen de beroemde Djelok waterkrachtcentrale te Salatiga.
