About
Angel Morland picked up a lot of things during his stay in high school: Three State Championships in Wrestling (he's good), a girlfriend (she's good), and an endless supply of friends (they're ... alright). Going for a fourth State Championship, everything changes. He has to wrestle his cousin Chance Palmer, in a tightly contested State Finals match. Added to that, his girlfriend thinks they're both going to Harvard, but that lie remains small and white until the time actually comes to leave. These are Angel's first lessons in losing. In college, Angel meets Jade, a former student from Angel's cross-town rival high school. A friendship blossoms between the two of them during his stay as he encounters the challenges of starting out on the bottom of the Wrestling totem pole, trying to fit in on a brand new team, the difference between women in high school and college, and the consequences that subsequently follow when Angel doesn’t think before he acts. When college ends for Angel, he decides to gamble on Atlanta, Georgia. Everything is all-new once again, and Angel doesn’t know a soul. He's not there for very long before he meets a cute, pixie-like blonde named Tera, and her friend, the beautiful and mysterious Katylina. There's a problem, though; Katylina has a boyfriend, Jared, who just so happens to be Angel's new boss. Learning his lesson from before, he forgoes the self-imposed headache and runs into Reagan, a journalist for the local newspaper who he lusts at first sight. And second sight. And third sight. The lust between the two leads to a secret that Reagan keeps from Angel, and he’s the last to know about it. More change comes when Jared orders Angel to investigate Katylina's now-bizarre behavior. She won't come out of her room, no one's seen her in weeks, and she won't talk to anyone. As Angel tries to make progress in communicating with Katylina, choices that are made spark off a series of events that make Angel question what the actual lesson is to be learned. One thing that's for sure: He won't quit. Instead of letting life bring the fight to him, Angel Morland will bring the fight to life.
