Job Satisfaction Among Network Administrators in North Carolina: An Analysis Based on the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire

This study examined job satisfaction among network administrators in North Carolina based on the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire short form. Gathered data was based upon 20 questions that were made available online after completing a pre-qualification questionnaire. A total of 381 network administrators in North Carolina took part in this study. This study showed a linear relationship between job satisfaction and age, a positive correlation between job satisfaction and education, and a linear relationship between job satisfactions and experience; in addition, the study showed that network administrators are satisfied overall with their jobs. About half of network administrators indicated satisfaction with their supervisors and the way supervisors handled their workers. About half of network administrators were not satisfied with the way policies were put into practice. Furthermore, about half of the network administrators in North Carolina have less than six years of tenure in their current job.
