Lots of nice folks, lots of faces, but I have no real friends...and that's ok. It was a decision I made years ago: the decision to be alone and stay alone. My girls want me to find someone, but with dating comes questions, with questions come answers. I'm not ready to give answers....you see...I have a secret. It's just another day at the Pancake Shop--same people, same greetings, and as always, the same pancakes. But what Jake "Moses" Cass doesn't know is that his life is about to change again, forever. His co-workers want him to go on a date--a blind date, his first in eighteen years. Just to please them, he meets this girl at the famous Arlington Hotel bar. He didn't mean to like her; to get so attached, but after an awkward first date, she is all he can think about.
