This book is based on a true story about a child who always dreamed to have a dog as a pet. However, due to several obstacles, this little girl could not have her dream come true until she turned six years old. She wanted to have a dog since the age of three, and no matter how much she begged her parents for this pet, they always refused. There was always an excuse like the mom being allergic to dogs or like having a dog in the house is something that demands a lot of responsibility from the owner and those who care for it. Finally, to convince her parents, the girl very sadly told her mom, “You don’t love me and do not care about how I feel.” Her mom agreed and promised her to start searching for a dog even if it takes a long time to find one. Many months passed by, and the little girl was able to get her dog as a Christmas present. She was very happy and excited to have her dream come true.
