ENGLISH IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE Studying a subject in a foreign or second language can create many difficulties. Anyone studying biological science in English who feels his command of the language to be inadequate will find this book an invaluable aid. It is the result of a great deal of research into the problems of understanding the English language as it is used to communicate scientific facts and ideas. There are eight units, each with a specially written reading passage followed by exercises which focus on those features of English which are often used in the written language of biological science. All the exercises are presented in the context of biological science and together with the reading passages give a representative range of the relevant scientific vocabulary.
