Acolyte

This is the story of Karl Gray, an individual who becomes a new man through a dark metamorphosis. Karl hates himself and the world he has created. He doesn’t realize how badly he wants to escape and to change his life until he meets a homeless man, Alexander. Through his relationship with Alexander, he is taught a new religion, a new set of beliefs about his role within and without society. What will his life amount to? Does it matter? Why does he have to spend the precious seconds of his life within a machine’s inner workings? Why does his past propel him into a new future? Karl realizes his new dogma by finally ridding himself of a cursed memory in order to open a new tomorrow.
