Rembrandt and his circle

The exceptional collection of the Rembrandt and his circle drawings in the Frits Lugt Collection is here dealt with in detail. The author Peter Schatborn presents here new insights and attributions of some of the drawings in this collection. The knowledge of Dutch 17th century drawings has, due to the many studies by different authors of books and catalogues that have been published in recent years, has made more exact attributions possible. Also the detailed descriptions of the drawings, accompanied by still unknown comparative illustrations will make this two volume work a sourcebook for further studies.
