'Landscape' explores the origins of sadness and joy in sexual relationships. A middle-aged couple describe the vital scenery of their lives to each other in a series of interwoven monologues. 'Landscape' was first presented on the radio by the BBC in April 1968. It was subsequently staged at the Aldwych Theatre, London, by the Royal Shakespeare Company in July 1969, together with 'Silence'.
