Clarke's Parables of Our Joyless Days, which is a collection of his toddling footsteps from Gonzales through his trenchant gaze upon El Tucuche to his indelible footprints at his Legacy House, along which trek, he constantly engages in a perspicacious romance with the phenomenology of things : boy days, school days, love life, group life, dramatics, folk arts, folk ways, marriage, service to community and society building in that order.
