Afrin Siddiqui was born to Majid Siddiqui and Nafees Fatima on October 8,1981, in an Islamic family in Hyderabad, India. The 27-year-old Afreen Siddiqui is a studying MBA. Being a practical person by nature, she likes to use her pen to portray the prevailing issues of society, which are decoying the righteousness from society. Most of her poetry is on the social issues and dilemmas like poverty, unemployment, racial discrimination, war, violence, etc. Her hobby to compose poetry cultivated a penchant for writing long poems. And it took her little time to fire into fame with her new poem, Alyasaa, the Omen, termed as the longest poem ever written in India as well as the world.
