About
I have only read the English Translation of The Mouchotte Diaries (pub 1956) They were not written to be published but were given, after his death, by his mother to a friend. I've read them twice and find the 'humaneness' of his perspective of the War absolutely gripping. His devotion to duty, his honour and his humour make his Diaries compulsive reading. This latest version has, I think, extras which were not included in the first edition. I do hope it is translated into English but rather doubt it.
