About
자계서원紫溪書院은 1518년(중종 13) 김일손金馹孫의 학문과 덕행을 추모하기 위해 자계사紫溪祠를 창건했다가 1576년(선조 9) 서원으로 승격되었다. 임진왜란으로 소실되었다가 1615년(광해군 7) 중건하고 김극일金克一과 김대유金大有를 배향하였으며, 1661년(현종 2) 사액되었다. 하지만 1871년(고종 8) 대원군의 서원철폐령으로 훼철되었다. 경상북도 청도군 이서면에 있다. 원지院誌는 첫머리에 ｢서원도書院圖｣가 붙어 있고, 내용은 연혁 ㆍ서원기書院記ㆍ축문ㆍ제문ㆍ영귀루중창문詠歸樓重創文ㆍ영귀루중수기詠歸樓重修記ㆍ삼선생실록三先生實錄 등으로 이루어져 있다. 유연즙柳淵楫의 서문과 손용복孫容復의 발문이 있다.
