The Gift

One hundred years after Cyrus Wilkes and his colleagues were captured and hanged in the Georgia woods, Matthew Meredith, Chance Walker, Jo'sha Imarah and Wade Graham IV discover that their predecessors were killed for the very relics and gifts that they now possess. An act of youthful indiscretion left the four young men in possession of the contents of a century-old time capsule. All they expected to find were university papers and artifacts. What they discovered, however, was an inexorable link to their past and a symbiotic connection to one another through the tools of angels. The tools, known to some as the Crux Ansata or the ankhs, granted them each with the supernatural abilities to manipulate earth, air, water, and fire. The story unfolds as they deal with the challenges of young adulthood, fraternity, and friendship while facing angels, demons, local authorities, a crazed serial killer, and a secret brotherhood that has been searching for the Crux Ansata since the beginning of time.
