This is the story of the Kingdom of Marmikel, the people who lived there, their king, and a very special contest. Not long ago, living in Marmikel wasn’t very much different from living the way we do today, except of course it wasn’t modern. In other words, there were no radios, no bowling alleys, no movie theatres, no shopping malls, no TV, no cell phones, no MP3 players, no Twitter, and no Facebook! So instead, the people of Marmikel gave balls. They gave birthday balls, Monday balls, winter balls, anniversary balls, and fall balls, just to name a few.
