A brief travelogue / history of the Oxford canal. This is the third book in the series, each one written with "one eye on the history." They are aimed at increasing the enjoyment of those travelling the inland waterways of England and Wales. Particularly for those new to the gentle pleasures of narrowboating and to the huge industrial heritage of the canal network, these books are a "must have." The first two volumes in the series covered the Trent and Mersey, and the Stratford on Avon canals. Further volumes will cover the Llangollen, the Shropshire Union, the Coventry, the Staffs. and Worcester and the Worcester and Birmingham canals.
