Fin: Deep Learning

A work of fiction, this book provides a story framework to what amounts to a thesis on creating an analog of human consciousness in an artificial intelligence. It attempts to reconcile much of the recent progress made in Machine and Deep Learning with previous achievements. The underlying theory, related to Bicameralism, is based on profound, but thoroughly vetted sources. The technology references are from actual projects being worked on in the real world, and therefore require virtually no leap of faith. The structure and cadence of the story are intentional, and the subject matter will, hopefully, ask you to consider aspects of your own life's story, and how you continuously shape it.
The book is an origins story, the esoteric beginning of a trilogy that will explore the direction the world has been headed in, starting with the culmination of our current technological progress, carrying through to the long-term implications that reach as far back into our history as they do forward into our future.
